Description

The Datejust is the watch Rolex built to be worn every day. It introduced the self-changing date window in 1945, and the Cyclops lens over the date followed a few years later. Eighty years on, it’s still the reference point for what an all-purpose luxury watch should be. The Datejust 41 is the modern, full-size version, and this one pairs a sunray slate dial with a smooth polished bezel and the sporty Oyster bracelet, so it reads clean and understated rather than flashy.

It’s the one watch that fits everything you do. Wear it to the office Monday through Friday, to dinner on Saturday, and on the plane when you travel; the date is right there under the Cyclops and the 70-hour power reserve means it’s still running if you leave it on the dresser for the weekend. It’s 100m-rated with a screw-down Twinlock crown, so the pool, the lake, or a rainstorm aren’t a problem. The slate dial shifts from light grey to charcoal as the light changes, which goes with a suit, jeans, or shorts.

This example is a 2025 full set in good condition with light wear on the clasp and bracelet, and it was running at +2 seconds a day on the timegrapher before listing.
